The Cycle Show 2018
26 November 2018
The Cycle Show has just had its 17th edition at Birmingham NEC and what a fantastic show it was. Arguably the best line up of celebrities the show has every had; Mark Cavendish MBE to Marcel Kittel, Alex Dowsett, Shanaze Reade, Sam Pilgrim, Joanna Rowsell-Shand, Kirsten Wild, Danny Hart and Kirsten Wild, not to mention the usual suspects; Ned Boulting and Rebecca Charlton.
The 22,000 sqm halls at the NEC were packed with 8,000 sqm of exhibitors and 5,000 sqm of feature space like the Tour Of Britain Café/Bar. We had over 500 brands at the show, there was something for every cyclist at every stage in their journey.
Another great response to the Velo Vixen’s Women’s Hub in association with HSBCUK delivering women specific content and the Tannus Tyres Airless Stage was the landing point for celebrities, demos and product insight then heading to the Tour Of Britain Café for a cup of coffee.
We welcomed some brand new companies to the show including KONA, Bafang and NAMEDSPORT. It is always great to see the seven test tracks at the show packed with our visitors trying out the latest bikes on offer from our brands.
The UK’s only indoor electric mountain bike test track sponsored by Bosch came with a UK exclusive this year, the new Bosch ABS system for bikes was available for our visitors this year, with over 5,000 test track rides there was something for everyone to have a go on!
We are really looking forward to the 18th edition of the Cycle Show especially as there are a number of changes planned in for 2019 and we hope to see you there!
