Celebrating the special pleasures of this most lovely of seasons… at the Country Living Spring Fair 2018. 26-29 April 2018 | Alexandra Palace, London.

Date

26 July 2018

The Country Living Magazine Spring Fair returned to enthrall visitors at Alexandra Palace from 26 to 29 April. With its brilliant mix of skilled craftspeople, talented designer-makers and passionate artisan producers, the Fair was the perfect place to pick up beautiful original pieces and fresh seasonal inspiration for anyone’s home, garden and wardrobe.

Visitors turned their hands to new crafts, learned from experts and stocked-up on delicious foodie treats while enjoying a truly inspiring day out with friends and family.

During the four days, the Spring Fair visitors met the makers and discovered the story behind their products, making it a more personal and memorable shopping experience than buying online or on the high street.

With over 50 hours of classes, workshops and demonstrations covering everything from block-printing and floristry to urban hen-keeping and decoupage, the Fair was the perfect opportunity for anyone to grow their skillset or try something new.

Influential British designer, author, and Queen of Paint, Annie Sloan, was also at the Fair along with her famous Chalk Paint® to lead practical workshops and answer questions on colour, style and technique.

Foodie fans headed towards the Little Larder to sample and purchase delicious spread of lovingly crafted eats. And at the Country Living Kitchen, everything from truffle making to how to create the perfect sauce was explored in a tasty programme of free demonstrations and it also hosted Country Living’s Best Cakes and Bakes Competition.

Visitors to the Country Living Smallholding were met by adorable orphan lambs, as well as Butternut the chicken and her feathered friends.

Visitors also dropped into Thompson’s Tea Room for a refreshing cup of the good stuff, reviewing their purchases over a glass of bubbly at the Viking Cruises Champagne Bar and even indulging in a spring cocktail at the Crafty Caravan Bar. Not to mention relaxing by the bandstand to enjoy live music over the four days.

Also this year, attendees discovered Small Business Pods, this year’s freshly picked crop of new exhibitors and also met the next generation of designer makers at the Pop-Up Market, who won the chance to exhibit their products.

Those who purchased VIP tickets enjoyed an extra special Fair experience, which included a goody bag, a glass of bubbly, access to the VIP Lounge where complimentary tea and barista-made coffee was served all day, use of the complimentary private cloakroom, and priority entrance to the Fair.
